Out for a day fishing on the Fraser River; saw over 30 fish taken on the bar, some as big as 40lbs. After 6 hours of fishing, one license and gear check (good to see the DFO out and about), many foul ups, I finally hooked into a big spring. Played it up and down the bar for about 20 minutes before it decided to play nice and come to shore. Had a friendly fellow fisherman with a tailing glove (which probably saved the day) to help me bring it in. On the beach weighed just under 30 pounds and was dragging serious tail. A beautifull fish and a beautifull day. ;D
Didn't see anyone bar-fishing; seemed to be a bottom bounching show. Water seems to be down on the fraser about 3 feet and is starting to clear as well. Should be better bar fishing chances soon as things start to settle in the river.
