Has anyone fished this lake recently?
I am looking to try some different lakes and this one looks good in the book
any feedback would be good
I will be fly fishing from a tube

I have never fished there but i heard that is where fisheries farms brood stoch and the wild trout eat the food that falls through the nets and get pretty big

Vary slow, the old fish farm thing is long gone now and these so called huge fish are probably at the bottom of this vary deep lake. I did here of a couple little guys (12"ers) a month ago, but nothing since. You might be better off with going to devils lake, we'll have a much more enjoyable time catching something...
But good luck if you do go and watch out for the guy who lives there with his dogs.

fished Sayers a few years back. it sucks in a float tube and its very deep so hard to fish unless your going to troll leadcore line. there is another lake off the side of the road on your way to Sayers ( i cant recall the name) you have to hike down a steep hill to get to it but i have been told it holds nice fish nothing to huge but it does have some bigger ones. You will at least catch something there usually ;)
Britguy - or you could head up to Francis or Grace or something, Grace is really nice and small for tube fishing however the fish are also small :D

Hook, that's devils lake your talking about and it can be good at times.

oh and on a side note, there was lots of break-ins up there last year so make sure you dont leave anything in your vehicle.

I will maybe try one of the other lakes soon
As for break ins, the only thing i leave in my car is the crook lock (attached to the steering wheel of course)

I fished Devil's lake a few years ago and got into lots of smaller cutthroat and rainbow. It's worth a try.
