Well we spent a few hours out fishing sturgeon, weather was ok. incoming tide in the PM, we used frozen oolies we did manage a few to the boat but Carlo got the biggest one today, pertty close to the 6 foot mark.
we Had to hold on to him as he almost went overboard several times......I think this fish was slightly bigger than him. ;D ;)

How was your early trout fishing at lafarge? ;D

Nice fish.
Is that rod Carlo was using a sturgeon rod?
Never seen one so long.

8 foot trophy sturgeon, one piece.........great rod

First of all I am not trashing you for the handling of the fish, But, you might want to think about dragging the fish over the side rails of the boat, not a great idea. New handling guide lines this year for handling larger sturgeon.
No larger fish in the boat (5 feet and under )
No ropes on tail

Could not agree more. When I get larger ones i just pop the hook and let them go.

If you want others to be receptive and respecting your opinions and advices, perhaps you should do the same when others express theirs, even if you do not agree with them.
Roeman is referring to this new guideline that has been developed by MoE.

Normally i would agree Canso but the way the fish bent while being dragged over the side could have easily killed it.Or at least cause some internal injuries.Jim if your going to post links to videos you have to expext a little feedback this is not a slam dont take it take way.it was just not a wise choice.

Hopefully it won't be long and sturgeon fishing will be closed......
