hello everyone! I'm new here and i hope I'm not repeating other guy's topic
i was just wondering the # of fishing rods u guys got.
i have two rods for salmon, two light rods for trout and
those two Asian carbon cane-pole fishing rods.
(I'm not bragging or anything, i don't get to fish much and
i personally think have too many rods... that's all)
no, I'm not a flyfisher yet, i hope to become one sometime soon.
thanks for checking out my post.
by the way everyone, happy new fishing year!!! ;)
-
I have around 8 fly rods and about 12 gear rods.
-
27 gear rods, you can never have too many
all SAGE
-
wow... u r right, it doesn't hurt to have many rods...
or it might hurt little financial wise... hahaha
-
Too many for my own good.
-
I have just enough rods to catch me all the fish i target, I got 2 CP rods 4 fly rods and one barfing rod. All the old rods i got rid of as these are the only ones i use during the year.
-
Five fly rods and about ten gear rods. I think more about getting decent spay rod for the Vedder.
-
Between my 2-sons and I we have around 50 rods for all occasions, Fly,spin casting, center pin, etc.
-
25 -30 gear, 2 fly, looking to sell a few of the gear rods I don't use that often....
-
3; One gear rod for salmon, one gear rod for trout, and one fly rod
-
1 two hander
5 single handers
1 centerpin setup
1 levelwind setup
5 spincast setups
4 ice fishing rods
-
3 fly rods, 4 spinning rods, 1 bass baitcaster, 1 salmon gear rod
-
Lots, deep down I'm really a tackle-tart and, also a British match angler so plenty of rods and poles for fishing all kinds of waters.
Not to mention I also have rods for fly fishing, sea fishing (shore and boat), travel rods, barbel, pike, carp and specialist rods to mention a few.
As I told the wife, you can't play a round of golf with only one club!!!
-
I am going to print this post. My wife seems to think a couple rods is good enough! I keep telling her I want more.
Maybe this post will convince her that more is better! ;D
-
Let's see...
Fly rods:
Three 5-weights
Two 6-weights
Two 8-weights
Gear rods:
3 drift rods (for level wind reels)
1 bar fishing rod
2 spinning rods
2 telescopic (carp) rods (I have to start using them more...)
A total of 15...not bad.
-
A few.

Only 2, well that my wife knows about ::)

Great question !!! Let's see ... 2 Army Navy specials ...complete reel & rod casting set up...for catching "very small fish" ...( a 15" er on feels like a 30 lber) ----------------------- 6 trolling ---- & another 6 good quality casting rods ---- fly rod never replaced after 20-22 in rainbow snapped it. ------------------ ( & one Arima boat to fish all these rods off of.... noticed ARIMA BOATS have advertised on FWR... Right on !!!) ---------- Mind U I'm rather funny when it comes to fishing as I've got my "favourite or feel good rods"...so alot of them DO NOT GET USED....EVER......... TOTAL RODS at least 14. ------ Low number from what you guys own. -------------( fishing tackle store owners must be happy with our answers )

I think my dear wife should read this thread so she knows my 20 something rods are just small change here. ;D ;D The tackle people also love this kind of thread. ;D
Anyway, I have most of them fish covered - sturgeon rods, one-piece halibut rod, bar rods, center-pin rods, bait casting rods, bottom fishing jig rods, troll rods, mooching, and a few fly rods from 6 wt to 9 wt, and for light spinning for the smallest of fish for stocked trouts, crappies, perches, herring including some super light Asian hand rods (no reels needed) for close shore fishing.
