Title: Chilliwack River, March 14th 2009
Post by: Tee on March 14, 2009, 06:06:51 PM
I was there today as well. Conditions were good in the morning but deteriorated a bit by the time I left around 3:00pm, visibility around 2-4 ft depending where you are. Fishing was slow, but I luckily managed to land one hatchery  ;D ;D

I was fly fishing the lower river today from noon till 6:30.
The rain was relentless, but the wind was not bad.

Had one on but lost it when it jumped out of the water. It was a beautiful bright fish.
Saw two landed and dispatched and another couple of fish lost.

The river started colouring up after 5:30 and the water levels began to rise a bit. It was still very fishable, however, with visibility about two feet around the train bridge.
If the rain continues, it might be a tough day tomorrow.

I think I'll stay home.

8:0 for me. The skunk is getting bigger and stinkier.  ::)
