Anyone know if the lake has ice on it????
Thx
-
Last I heard there was and the latest cold spell would not have helped. The rain coming will deal with it.
Phone the sports shop in Hope, Cheyenne Sports, they should know for sure.
-
ya that arctic outflow was nasty ... the girl at cheyanne didnt know she was the only one in the shop at the time.
-
Yes still covered in ice
-
Last I herd was that 70% of the lake was still frozen.

This was taken ten days ago.

Like Chris said, the snow and cold temperature delayed the melting, but shouldn't be by too much.

I phoned Cheyenne Sports today at 4:00 pm and was told that Kawakawa Lake is still more than half frozen.

I heard from a fly fishing "legend" today at the Abbotsford sports show that kokanee fishing has been very good. There is a problem launching a boat at the usual ramp but they got theirs in near a campsite. Krill was the hot bait of course
-
Hahaha, he had pink fingers on Wednesday because only one of those little buggers was interested in his chronie. ;D
