Just a post to note the passing of one of my first fishing buddies,my mom at the age of 92. She was hardcore. In her fifties and sixties she would spend all day trolling on Kootenay lake. She would use an ice cream bucket when nature called so we didn't have to go in to shore. Here are a few pics....... (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r79/Spoonman_05/011.jpg) some Saskatchewan pike (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r79/Spoonman_05/015_NEW.jpg) some Kootenay Lake bulls (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r79/Spoonman_05/021.jpg) (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r79/Spoonman_05/039.jpg) (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r79/Spoonman_05/038.jpg) (http://i141.photobucket.com/albums/r79/Spoonman_05/037.jpg) These last two pics are probably the largest KOKANEE you will ever see in your life!!!! Hope I didn't bum anyone out,but I needed to share.

Very, very sorry for your loss Spoonman but if I can just say, you had an exceptionally special mom. Brings back good memories for me of mine. We never know how long we have on this planet but it sure looks like your mom lived every day like it may be her last. She lived a full life and one filled with many a good time based on the smiles on her face in the photos. Thank You.

Some great pictures and great memories you must have. Sharing your memories like that does not bum me out.
Makes me think about and appreciate my mom, think I'll go give her a call.

Great photos :) The closest I got to fishing with my mom was cleaning NW herring by the bucketload for pickeling.

MY MUM DID NOT FISH, YOU WERE LUCKY. MY MUM PASSED AWAY AT 94 IN JUNE. I REALLY DO MISS HER A LOT, IT TAKES SOME TIME TO GET OVER NOT HAVING A MOTHER ANYMORE. MOTHERS ARE REAL SPECIAL.

Sorry about your loss, I did a color correction on one of your photos. If you want to e-mail me some of the originals so the files aren't so small I could fix some others for you.

Happy Trails to your Mom Spoonman.
I was lucky enough to have a Mom that loved getting out on the lake too.
To those of you who still have your Mothers, make sure you take care of her and make sure she knows how much she means to you.
I sure miss mine.
