Abbotsford council is exploring the options for a boat launch on the abbotsford side of the mission bridge...I will be sitting on the council. But I want to ask what other people think. and ideas on how to make it a great launch.

Good idea. Some where around the gravel parking lot?

Sounds good. I would like to suggest a double ramp with a wharf down the centre, if there is room for it. I think this would likely have the smallest impact on most sites, while providing for reasonably quick and safe access.

Awesome idea, as long as the launch is not only for TJ boats...
Not between the bridges though...
I would think it would have to be down river of the bridges.. below the campground or park..
Midway down and across from Matsqui Island
Cheers

It's a great idea the area is definitely underserviced now, damned expensive though, construction/maintenance aren't cheap.
EDIT-It's going to have to be at least $20 a pop to launch that'll help pay for some things including security.

Not only for TJs... LOL we are thinking where the park is...it is an under used area that would have potential for a good launch...as for construction cost... I am mazed at how many people have come to the bat for this idea...
I would like to see the launch fee stay reasonable for users...nothing bites my my friend like a 20 dollar launch fee...
keep the ideas coming...

They should have it at the park. Have a hot dog concession licence during the summer to help keeping the launch rates down.
