you lost it a month ago !!! and only noticed now  :-\ I still go buy the advice someone gave me when i was a kid. First thing you do when you get to the vehicle is PUT THE ROD AWAY  ;) then do other stuff that way you never leave it behind.  ;D

Sorry for your loss and i hope you find it.

I think it was Chris that posted the tip a few months ago to put your rod on your windshield when you get to the car. That way you can't drive away without noticing. Good luck in finding it.

that doesnt always work though because a guy from another forum did just that and still drove away without his rod. he was lucky enough to find it there the next day. windshield thing will work if your going to go forward LOL i just put it in the vehicle then i know its gonna be there later.

can you tell us what the combo is exactly so we can keep our eyes and ears peeled.

I drove around with my wallet on the bumper one day.  I put it there when I used my bumper to place my foot and tie my shoes.  Probably drove about 75-100kms and when I realized...it was still there!!!

thank's guy's, well for what it's worth it was my islander steel header center pin, with a trophy 10ft 6, pin rod, and I was looking for it for my first steel head trip this year as i also use it for coho when i lost it.

I guess you could say the same thing happened to me. Left my islander combo on the backside of my car and drove off, within 10 seconds i heard something. that lovely sound was my islander being dragged on the pavement ;D. i guess some line got caught on the bumper, i drove over my rod (breaking it), and while dragging it, the reel case torn away and left my islander bare to drag. Good thing that rod was a cheapy, and the islander will soon be machined and re-anodized to get all the nicks out.

Bet I won't do that again.

I hope you find your rod! A good thing is the windshield or lean it up on the front!
