I have a technium centerpin pin rod...Love it!  I own 4 shimano rods and have no Problems with any. Great Value for the price I think :)

First tried one out last year. Despite being in the hands of dozens of "newbies" (clients) it well stood the test of time, through battle after battle. Liked it so much myself that I went to 4 of them for this season. And again, all 4 are in great shape following a lengthy charter season on the chuck. Sensitive alright, but sufficient backbone to land incidentally caught halibut to 60 pounds. A Winner in my books!

Cheers,
Nog

Hi

I recently got shimano west coast technium tnc - 106 mh2  10"6 rod.

Is it good for river salmon fishing?

I usually do float fishing.

Thanks
