Carlo and I gave it another go from 1:30pm to 4:30pm. Luckily the rain held off, it only drizzled briefly. The easterly wind was pretty light, but just enough to carry those spinners a bit further out when casting. Water clarity seemed to have degraded slightly, probably due to last week's rainfall. It was still very suitable for spinning.
Two minutes after I parked my car, I hooked a fish on the first cast. ;D
We bumped into yamadirt 426 and friends. yamadirt 426 landed one while we fished the same bay. ;D Carlo hooked and lost his only fish of the day just after that. ;)
With the water clarity down slightly, I switched to a larger item on the line, a 1/4oz Gibbs orange Croc. One fish got hooked briefly right by the rock where I stood. I landed one more soon after that.
Both landed bull trout today were around 1 to 2lb.
Beside us two, there were six other people fishing today. I guess that can somewhat defined as a gong show down here... ;D
