Yeah; you read the header right. I got a good laugh, when that question was asked on that other thread. As stated in that other thread we are all immigrants back somewhere in our family tree. As for me I am a Canadian by default, because I never made the effort to choose a country within the time parameters of my birth abroad. As for the question of language I am reminded of an evening some years back when some friends and I were fishing the Thom. We were all at the famous, or for some infamous, cabin at Spences Bridge; enjoying some beverages, and debating what should be taught in our schools as a second language. After the debate had draged on for a while our colleague Swede Peterson, of Annie Horge White Expeditions, spoke up with his Idaho Cowboy drawl and said "I only speak one language and the way I see it; this country would be a whole lot better off if they dropped this multi language stuff, and did the same." So we asked "what language is that?" to which Swede answered one word "Western." As for me I speak the same language as my aging mind "Slow."
Sorry if this offends some of you; just trying for a little humor

this topic is pretty hilarious Newsman. I currently speak a few languages ;) and here they are
Canadian English
Canadian Slang
Canadian broken Enlish LOL
I also speak a little Hungarian (dated 2 hungarian girls) and i also know some choice words in other languages ::)
I dont see why this should offend anyone, If it does then they havent a sense of humour about themselves which is just sad :-\

English, as in the Queen's English, as it was meant to be spoken and pronounced, as per the Oxford Dictionary. Definitely not the bastardised American version.
