Title: Chilliwack River, October 20th 2008
Post by: boscheefish on October 21, 2008, 06:23:42 AM
once again  i had the privilage of fishing the vedder today, leaving at 2am  has now become the norm for me..... was a great day , landed 2 springs which were released, bonked a decent chum, which is  now on the smoker, i did have some excitement and heart break today. i hooked a fish which right away came up to the surface and was jumping alot, from where i was standing, it looked like a chum, so i told my buddy , i dont need any help its just a chum. after a lengthy fight i managed to get it to some shallow water, as i realed in my line on it and walked over to tail it, i realized i had a huge buck hatchery coho! the fish saw me, and snap he was off! was atleast 15lbs, biggest coho i have ever hooked. lesson learned, should have taken my buddies help, could have had one nice coho.  this was a fantastic day,

Good day out there, boscheefish!  Too bad about the coho - nice to have at least enjoyed the battle, right?

Cheers,
:D
