Title: fishing the chehailus(not sure if its spelled right)

im fishing the chehailus tomorow for the first time, i was hoping you nice people can provide some tips or suggestions.

Park at the bridge that crosses the river and walk down and fish as you go. Chum are there and Coho fishing is probably still very spotty as it's generally early for them up that way.

DONT leave anything in your vehicle where you park!!!
Break ins are vary common up there.
Maybe you could report back after your trip,Id be interested
to know where the levels are at.Theres a gauge on the side of the pump house.

was up there yesterday. no coho were seen. the odd chum around. fished low and then went lower. no signs of fish yet.rained cats and dogs up there all day.

caught 1 chum buck and 1 un clip coho hen, yesterday...but spotty fishing.

There was a group of young guys fishing from the pumphouse and had a well coordinated effort going. Hook fish, move off the pumphouse and bring a buddy with a net. Saw them take several nice cohos.

i had a great day out!thanks for the info gus. water level was at 8 and aqua green colour.very nice and very nice fish too. got a male coho 12lbs and some one else i saw walking with a larger one.lots of chum and many poachers taking over their limit which is zero right now.
