Title: Stave River, October 11th 2008
Post by: slider51 on October 11, 2008, 09:54:01 PM
Both myself and a buddy of mine made it out to the stave at the crack of dawn and loaded up with some wool and off we went. Now when my buddy cast out for the third time we where in for a shock my buddy caught a 14lb spring, who would have thought springs in the stave. We continued on and 15 mins later a nice 10 lb chum on my line, then the gong show came at about 10 o'clock. We moved on down the river and fished for a couple of more hours I said last cast and low and behold my buddy hooked one last cast and landed another doe.Pictures to come later

Yes the Stave gets a small run of steelhead. Also their are not a TON of springs in the Stave but it gets a decent run. If it were TONS it would have a higher retention limit.
