Headed out this morning with Minni-me to try our luck. We each got a couple Springs in the morning, a couple of them were in really good shape, but nothing Cohoish. So we decided to hike a bit, the turned up pretty much nothing so we headed back to the truck. But Minnie-me stopped to plant a cast in behind a rock and what do you know, nice chrome Spring on. Get get's it to shore after a nice battle and it has a brassy tint to it.... hmmmm one of those rare reds? We'll never really know, as he decided to let it go. So we hop in the truck and head up river some more. Found a nice spot that isn't to busy, after messing around in there for a while and Minnie-me landing another Spring we start seeing s good amount of Coho moving through. By good amount I mean like 15 or so showing themselves. I was thinking about a blade, but I didn't have any.... you know what, great minds think a like cause Minnie me said, " Hey, why don't you throw on a Blade?" I said, cause I ain't gots none.... So he tossed over a blade, a nice fancy one and on it went. 10 min or so later, this happened.

It's perty.
After that, a another Spring for Minnie me and it was time to go.
So thanks to Minnie me for the blade..... ;D

For the most part, it was a gong show out there today.
I managed to find some quiet spots and landed 1 Hatchery Coho 5 lbs, a 12 lb Spring, and a fresh Buck Chum that would of beat 18 lbs.

Had a late start to my trip. Arrived at one of my favourite lower section run at 1:30 PM to find only one fisherman there. Says he's been there since 7:30 AM ! Within 10 minutes I hooked and lost a chinook on a jig. Two other guys showed up 30 minutes later. One of the guy immediately started hooking chums from the tailout. He was fishing a 5 feet leader from his pencil lead and other 4 feet to his float. He was hooking the fish in the dorsal fin, tail and other appendages :(

Blades worked well for me too today. I used silver not gold though.

hello all, well the last few weeks have been a little slower for coho than i wanted, so i decided to take a day and fish for some springs, n chum,
drove from kelowna at 2 am ( usual time we always leave) like to be first on the whole river........when you have to drive through crappy snow and spend 4 hrs getting there, u wanna spend the whole day out there.
anyways, the first few hrs was very cold, but the rest of the day was amazing, had at least a dozen springs and 3 chum.
i dont usually keep springs in the fall but this one was so pretty when i caught it i couldnt resist, turned out to be a marble.
cant wait till next weekend
