My fav is my
Sage 9140-4

But i caught my first steelhead on a Echo 9140-4, so that holds a special place in my collection

Just built a Amundson 6120-4, but havent fished it yet.

I currently have 5 2-handers in the arsenal. From 5/6 wt to 10 wt, and from 10'-6" switchers to a 15' long liner. Since I don't wade deep in big rivers much anymore I'm probably move the big rod and make the upper end 13'-14'. Scandi style shooting heads for the light wt flies, and skagit style for when I need to throw flies the size of half a chicken. Current favorite rod is a TFO 11' 9 wt switch rod. It throws everything that I need for the small to mid sized rivers that I prefer to fish.

The Beulah Elixir line is is great on my 5/6 Beulah. I bought the rod as a trout spey but its a bit heavy for most trout (at least where I fish). I use the rod a lot for fishing sea run cutts and silvers from the beach. From the beach I normally use a SA streamer express in a 7 wt and overhead cast it rather than spey cast. Rio has just came out with Outbound Short lines. They have a 30 ft head instead of 37-1/2 ft. When overhead casting the shorter head will keep my back cast from catching on every rock and bush behind me. From a boat the long head rocks.

It was a gift from an old fellow (now passed on) who enjoyed my weekly sport fishing column in the Mission City Record. I have used it a few times, works well in big water like the Tom and Fraser. That being said I am not a fan. I still prefer to use a single hander, to stock my fish for up close and sight fishing.
