Title: Belly-boating lakes
Post by: fish2much on September 11, 2008, 09:10:54 PM
I have recently got myself a fishcat U-boat and I friggin love the thing.  The two lakes I visit the most are Rolley and Mike as they are within 15 mins.  I've been wanting to broaden my horizens a little and was wanting to hear from everyone about some suggestions for some good lakes to kick myself around in.  Would love to hear about some lakes and some good spots and fish in these lakes.

I know some people gear fish from belly boats, however I fly fish from mine; reason I posted in the flyfish cafe.

TONS of small lake in BC that are good for a belly boat.

Try some of these;
Badger
Community
Lady King
Leighton
Roche lake area, Bleeker, Rose, Tulip, Black, Hosil
Dairy
Duffy
Little Johnson

All of these lakes are in the Merritt/Kamloops area, and depending on when you go can be GREAT!!!!!

Have fun, and good Luck

Thanks for the heads up.  I'm actually heading up in a couple of weeks and look forward to trying some of those spots.

You can also try Alice and Alta lakes which are on highway 99 North of Squamish.  Easy access and closer to town.
