Title: Rafting to the Islands in the middle of the Stave River
Post by: TwoLabs on August 27, 2008, 04:19:02 PM
Just curious if there is a reason no one takes a small raft or boat across to the islands on the Stave River.  Seems like a great way to avoid the crowds and possibly find some undisturbed Coho's.   By the way any suggestions on fishing coho's on the Stave.

Seen lots of guys floating to the islands a couple of weeks ago. Cutty action was good. Getting stranded is a risk you would have to take. If you have oars for your boat then you are good to go !!

We always fish from the islands....Launch from the west side near the trailer park. It's great for avoiding the snagfest.....
