My friend and I might be partaking in some bar fishing this weekend. we have all the necessary gear we just need to find a place to fish. I bought a copy of "Fishing Fever" and I have looked up the names of many of the popular bars around (Bowmans, Grassy, Wellington, Queens, Pegleg, Ferry Island, Herling Island, spring Bar etc..) but its all a little daunting. there are too many names, too many locations and so little time... (my young daughter takes up most of my time and im moving to castlegar later this month).
We have no boat so it kind of limits us as to where we can go. Any suggestions on locations for us boat challenged bipeds?
I went to Ferry island last month for a try, on a recommendation from a tackle store, and got nothing, but the water was pretty high. I wasn't too pleased with that location, it didn't seem very good to me, but what do i know.....

Ya i hear the fishing is good up there. Im looking forward to it. My favorite way to fish is flyfishing so it should be a blast. Just gotta find a lace to live up there... only got a few weeks left to find a place or i'll be camping fot the first month... :(

Just below Peg the road comes right by the river. You can also walk out right below the access to Peg by scrambling over the shoreline a bit.
Other than that you can buy them off the FN ;D hold them up in the parking lot at Keith Wilson bridge, and act as if you caught them. Cause a gong show. :)
