and is why I could not be at steveston, busy at the coq/silverhope doing stream fertilization.
kinda like a report, but this is why I have not been chinook fishing.

Fertilizer? Do you mean dried, ground fish to help renutrify the waters?
Hot heavy work! Good thing there's a cool river.
-
What is the science to it? Do they just go in at any random place or do you put it in areas with cover/deep water/riffles only etc. Seems very interesting.

The only thing missing is the bicycles. I would of called the DFO on that kind of scene. ::)

P.C ?
the fert is placed carfully with a control sample above and below, it remains in sacks so it can be removed or moved.
this fert creates algae ,witch in turn attracts bugs, witch inturn feeds the smolts. It almost doubles the size of smolts, therefore increasing ocean survival.
this project was done with M.O.E. so its been carfully thought out.

basically just fish and animal byproducts, I guess lack of natural fert(spawned out fish) .

They have done this in the Allouette lake and has done wonders for the lake. It spilled over the dam and into the river and has also done wonders for the river. The returns of fish has steadily grown since this was done.

I tagged many fish and captured many brood fish for peter, after taking a few years off I will be more involved.

Good to see the GGBSRP boys hard at work, and great to see people giving back to the sport that provides them with so much joy and so many memories
Congrats on the good fish karma
