Are there any good ones (9ft. +) on the market?  Will be using it mainly for cap cohos.

I am unaware of virtually any 3-4 piece factory bait cast rods out there.  There may be a couple...I think sage made a 3 piece 8.5' rod at one time but I think it was a spinning rod.

There are lots of great 3 and 4 piece blanks out there but there are primarily built as fly rods.  I built up a 9' 9w St croix for spinning and centerpin...its a sweet little rod.  Really light and tons of action in it but because its a 9w so I have been able to lay back into it and man handle a few chums with it as well.

Whats your price range, thats the key factor?

If you find a blank you like, I may be able to build it up for ya.  I got my hands full with a couple of sages right now but we could talk...drop me an email if you are interested.

Thanks

Cabelas was blowing out their fish eagle II casting rods, some of which were 3 piece.  I picked up a 3 piece 10 footer 8-15 lb for 39.00.  They may have sold out but check their website to see if they've restocked.  Not bad quality for the price, fuji reel seats and IM6 graphite.  I am using it as a back-up rod that I can hide in the car.
