Went over to Sunshine coast during the week with the family and decided to stop by Chapman creek hatchery.
Very interesting info and educational for my daughter who I am trying to get into fishing. We paid 2 dollars and she was able to
catch her first trout and had a nice lunch afterwards. Was talking to the staff there and they said that fishing is good for Coho
in late August to October. Has anyone ever fished there? Would like to give it a try since we are planning on returning to the Coast during that
time frame. I would imagine it to be like the Cap where high tide would be best and if there is no dry spell.

fished it once for steelies but never hit anything. i've heard it can be decent do to low pressure, but no good numbers

quite a few boats fishing off the mouth in august last time i was up that way.

I have fished the beach at it's mouth for Pinks, Coho, and sea-cutts. I have also fished the Chapman it's self for Pinks. All good fisheries.
