I went yesterday (May 22, 2008) and for some reason the lake seemed a bit slower. I landed two trout and so did my friend, saw no one else catch anything from shore. Although it was a slower day i was able to see three carp close milling about along the banks.

I was there last Saturday and the same results , according to what I have read it was just stocked the day before . There is no way even with the poaching going on can the fish vanish in one day .

Hmm, I had tons of success the weekend right after the stocking...

I went Friday, saturday, and sunday this weekend. I had a good day on friday
getting 8 in an hour and a half and then sunday morning i got 6 in my first
forty fivre minutes and only two more for a couple hours but i did see Charlie
the goldfish for the first time and Sunday i landed three in 3-4 hours... i
got probably 10 other hits though mostly around the dock but they werent
taking the hook they were just biting at the tail. And i hooked into a large
fish in the middle... it grabbed the fly and took line for probably 10 seconds
then spat the hook. I dont know what happend but the fishing just dropped
pretty quickly over the weekend.

I know why fishing drops quickly. its pretty obvious. If you have lets say 20 guys fish that lake over the period of one day (which believe me it happens, not at the same time of days probably) and say they each get their limit (lets ignore multiple dippers) you would have 80 fish gone from that lake. Now multiply that over a week and see what you have left. not rocket science here

yup that sounds about right
That's way there not bitting, because theirs only a handful left, look for the half dead ones floating near the shore line.

well i was there today and i know where they are hiding ;)
well at least three of them ;D
There were chrironamids hatching but no risers
I was using a full sink line
Tried a green w\bugger with bead got a few hits but no hook ups
so i changed to a green shrimp with bead and that got me the fish
Lost a nice size one, hit real hard
just as i was getting the net ready it spat the hook
It was head shaking from start to finish
One guy in a toon hooked a small one
Another guy in a tube not sure but did not see him hook one
And on shore i seen three landed between 10-15 fishermen
They might have got more who knows
But it is still slow
And Yes thats fishing
Just nice to spend a few hours on the water close to home
And what i thought was an otter in there the other day is apparently a beaver
