Title: Galiano fishing trip
Post by: badboi on May 13, 2008, 12:00:22 PM
Hi Folks

so my buddy is taking of bunch of us to his cabin on Galiano Island on May 31st for a fishing trip but..... he doesnt really have much success since he doesnt fish there all the time

So do any of you have any recommedations.... what kind of salmon is around there, what type of setup is effective.  I believe his choice bait is cut-plug herring but he has never caught a salmon before.... only his grandpa a few years ago.... I think he has a small metal dingy and maybe a downrigger.

If I rememember correctly his cabin is a 5 min walk around the bay from the ferry..... what can I expect from shore fishing...

Thanks for any recommendations..
