Well searun and I decide to take the pontoons out for the day on Mike Lake to too try out some flies. Well we anchored not that far out in about 16 feet of water and started the day fishing chronimids about 4 feet below the surface as the fish where there. We used chromies, candycanes, black with red, frostbites, and olive ice cream cones and all worked . We also stayed in the same spot and tried wooley buggers in olive, brown, trilobal green and trilobal brown all of which worked. We even had success on leaches and on olive green tombthumbs. I even had success on my red beaded full back woolybugger in olive green. It was a great day to be on the lake. We released all fish except for one which took my fly a little too deep to release. At least it was about 1lbs .

Was the lake busy today? I was at Whonnock today and there were about 8 or 9 tubers and boaters on the lake.

It was not too bad. There where maybe the same amount of people as on Whonnock.
