Title: Snorkling vs Diving vs Float Tube fins
Post by: gheart008 on March 07, 2008, 11:05:06 PM
Just wondering if there are any major differences between these types of fins?  Most importantly, can they be used interchangablly?  Could I use a fin that was intended for snorkling for float tubing on a lake?

You could use them, but you might have issues walking or getting your boots into them.

Float tube fins give power on the up stoke and fold on the down to give less resistant. You will move faster with diving fins , but the way you are sitting you use different muscles. You will use more of you hamstring with diving fins and tire more easily.  Unless you like to work out your hams more..

I have only used float tube fins so i can't say that diving fins are the wrong choice.
