Had a great day in the valley with wintersteel. Since steelhead season has been going for a while now,I was surprised to hook and land a clean hatchery coho that I kept. I've hooked coho this late before but usually they are really beat up by now. W.S. lost a clean wild coho as well.
Later we went to another spot and W.S. hooked and landed three steelhead in the same pool. it drove me nuts because every time my float went down it was another coho but when steels float went down it was always a chromer steelhead. >:(
W.S. kept one hatchery doe and released another hatch and a wild. He also lost a fish that was likely another steelhead as it took a pinkworm, but we never saw it. So we had a pretty good day with 4 steelhead on and maybe seven coho.

No it's not...as a matter of fact I know EXACTLY where it is. Much smaller river than the vedder, but still in south west BC.

Nice looking fish, I'm pretty sure I know where that is.
