Actually people in the Orient particularly Taiwan have been using the remote control boat for fishing for a long time. They use the boat to ferry the bait and the lead to a great distance from the shore, much longer than a casting rod can cast. This way they can catch really big fish even from shore. Quite smart.

Post by: bentrod on January 12, 2008, 07:42:00 PM: That rocks. There are remote boats specifically made for fishing. I lost the website, but It says for fish less than 5 lbs. I don't think there's much of an advantage to using one of these, but it kind of looks like fun.
