Fished the slough from shore this morning using a gold crocodile. Released one wild coho and kept one hatchery fish around 6lb. Also had a couple of brief hook ups. Early in this year's coho season I hooked into some nice size fish but the last four trips out everything I've hooked and seen are in the 4 to 6 lb. range, nothing of any size. Its been a good season, I've had four months off on strike but sounds like I might be back to work next week. Oh well bills to pay.

I have noticed that the coho in the stave are now smaller then a few weeks ago.

My truck plates were stolen from the bridge on wednesday evening. So keep your eyes out for suspicious behaviour. Pissed me off they took my Wishin I Was Fishing licence plate cover. :P

Sorry to hear about your plates , I hope you got into some fish to make up for your loss .

Fished the slough at high tide yesterday. I through just about every spoon and/or spinner I had, and nothing to show for it in 3 hours. I wasn't the only one though; there were about a dozen or so other people coming and going while I was there and I didn't see one fish caught. I did see a couple of chromers jump, and one old boot swim right close to shore but that was it. Is it too early for the Nicomen slough, or have I missed most of the good fishing for this year? I remember a few years back there were fish jumping everywhere and everyone was catching them.
