i went down stave this morning i saw a boat lunch he draw a net in bowl i went up whit my wife i ask the dayly limit for chum cze were not sure most of time in in usa just came back florida 4 week on road and im originally french so a bit hard for me to check update on phone recording to fast talking
can you believe nobody of these guys whose netting the vedderdont even know what limit retai for chum when they are netting the river ?for me look like a joke i try to fallow so much complicate rule for fishing in bc by the law but this one hit me hard and believe me i ask all of them they were abouth 12 guys nobody know

If you are referring to the Stave then it was probably Fisheries and Oceans staff taking brood stock - either chinook or coho for the hatchery. Not aware of any netting going on in the Vedder. Chum limit in the Stave is 2 per day if I do recall.

yes 2 chum on the stave. Also 2 coho over 35cm. It was most likly inch creek hatchery that was netting the toilet bowl as they have been netting for a couple weeks. They are collecting their brood stock for the stave, nicomen slough and norrish.

look like alll you guys think its normal for the dfo personal to dont know limit catch for me its just a small laufing to fisherman wherever they come from i live in vancouver can you believe a post like this from an american visiting your just ridiculus even more than dollard you think stay

Many hatcheries depend on volunteers for brood stocking (much like the seymour and the volunteer request posted now). Anyhow you may have been talking to some volunteers who know nothing about the limits/closures etc.
If you are unsure, everything is available online so its always best to check before you set out on a trip.

not all the volunteers up at the Seymour are fishermen.they get them from all over school groups ubc ect...
