Check out this link of a camera set up by the hatchery on the chehalis. I have not seen any coho but did spot some cutties and of course the chum.

Coho are in.
-
Chum look pretty much colored :-\
-
After watching for twenty minutes, I've seen countless Chums, a Pink, a few Coho and a couple Cutthroat. I thought I saw a Spring or two as well, but couldn't make them out clearly enough. Pretty neat camera.
-
i saw a dark male sockeye yesterday, along with many chum, cutties, and some coho.
-
there are some super big cutties in there. might have to check it out later on in the season.
-
Theres some chrome yet to be had in that pool :P. Very neat you can learn alot about how fish act in crowded pools from this.
-
Seems like the chums have arrived.
-
Good thing to watch when you are bored ;D I watched it yesterday for nearly an hour! saw lots of coho ,chums, and a few small cutties
-
Great link-Thanks for posting this-forgot to say so earlier!
Saw bunch of Coho Jacks and a White Spring Jack as well as the usual suspects.
-
saw some nice northerns today. was nice to see that silver flash as the turned. Man where they nice.
-
Great.... how i am supposed to get work done now at the office... :D
Very cool ... saw a few trout but wow... some of those chums are monsters
-
I asw lots of coho for about ten minutesbut all chum in between. I was thinking about trying the Chahalis next weekend.
-
I've got a mac, and I can't see the camera... it says I need some MIME plug-in or something about application/x-mplayer2?
Anyone help?
Thanks!
-
this is great stuff
-
great cam,but can anyone get to go full screen, thx.
-
I have not been able to get full screen. They must be getting alot of rain as well as the clarity of the river is not the greatest right now.
-
rgr that,it's pretty murky, still great to be able to see underwater.is there rainbows in there or are those summer steel?i ve seen 2 or
3.
-
I've seen a few summers but there are alot of cutty's in there time to brake out the fly rod ;D
-
i saw 2 summers and like 4 cutties
-
Thnx for the link. Its interesting to see how quickly the fish get spooked when the people start yelling in the background ;D
-
euw, look at all those dirty chum today...
At least the clarity is improving... I love this thing!
Cheers,
Nicole

Try double clicking on the video image. Does that work?
-
When I was watching it I heard some people talking, and the fish were moving their mouths at the same time! :o :o Time to get some sleep I guess.
-
double clicking works for full screen!. this thing is so wicked!
-
Wow, just saw a monster cutty on there this morning, might have to go check out the Chehalis this weekend!!!
-
Does anyone know if there's a way to set the camera feed as your screen saver?
-
Super rad camera !!! Been watching all morning.
Its cool to see the cuttys , trout and dollies rip around feeding on the chunks when the big guys aren't in view some nice sized cuttys in there !!! saw some 3lbers+ !!!. Going out to one of the valley rivers this weekend for sure. Flesh pattern frenzy !

When I was there today saw a fair number of coho salmon in the channel as well also one big chinnok chasing the other fish around. Observed a couple of Summer Runs too.
I was going to lower a sign "The Leafs Are Rolling" in front of the camera for you. ;D ;D ;D
-
That would have been an appropriate sign given how the Laughs are rolling, rolling, rolling over to the opposition.
-

-
Pretty sweet, nice to see ome chromers in there

I guess the hatchery channel runs all the way into the Harrison now eh ;D . I took a hike allmost all the way down to the Harrison on Friday hoping to see if I might stumble upon a pool full of Coho '' Not '' :P . The Coho must b-line it straight up , no taking any breaks in between . All I spotted were Chum in what little water there was ::) . Took a nice 7 lb Coho home . Caught it up RIVER by the Easter Seal run .
-
where abouts is this under water camera on the chehalis??
-
Yeah, I saw it basically just below the bridge before the fish sorting area.
-
Thats exactly where it is GoldHammeredCroc 8)
-
water to low for any good numbers, fish swim up at night in the 1ft of water bellow the hatchery.

You can watch them installing the camera on YouTube.........

this is better than porn! I shut it off but I have to come back an hour later!
-
Some brighter chum intermixed with the older ones today. Neat to watch on fullscreen and watch the rain hitting the surface waters.
-
very cool camera and nice to see how the dogs pool up and move in the river seen 2 coho while watching.
-
This may be the dumbest post ever, but when the fish extend their mouths wide open doesn't it look like they are yawning? ;D ;)

They are yawning. They are tired from all that work to get there in a foot of water ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :)
-
Both human and fish only open our mouth wide open during special occasions. ie. eating, yawning, and another much more important purpose in life.

It's the fish's version of foreplay
-
I was watching for a while and I saw like 3 solid chrome chums. and 2 pretty nice looking cohos.

That lens has been dirty for as long as the dirty chummy bobbers have been in there ;D . I checked the camera out about three weeks or so ago and was dirty then . There were about a thousand coho in the channel to when i visited there :o . Would have been nice to see that many out in the main flow .
