Title: New trophy pin
Post by: jetboatjim on October 12, 2007, 06:47:42 PM
today I bought a new trophy pin at searun fly and tackle, not like I needed another one but this reel is a workhorse, 4 inch and same functions as the silex. This thing is a bushing reel and it spins like a darn.and it's only 320$

perhaps rln can shed some light on this reel.

Hey Jim, I see you are having great success with you new reel.
Nice catch!
I went to the Vedder this past couple of weekends and caught a few fish, but nothing like this.  :(
This Saturday I spent 2 hours landing a 20lb chum with my trout rod and 12 lb test line.
Same line I used for pinks.  ;D
5 times the fish took all of the line off the spool but I got him in the end.
Good fun!
