Hit the Squish today
well someone had to :-\
forget it guys its raging mud and you can only fish from the trees
so is the Cheak (raging mud)
needs a few days of no rain or colder temps
and that road just gets worse to dive in the dark and wet

Yeah, the lack of lane lines and headlights right in your eyes is not exactly fun.

Hey Brit, I think I met you today I was the guy in the silver Gm Tracker also pissed about the drive on the 'Sea to Die' hwy.. In any case, plan B was the Cap & I lost a nice hatch Coho--God I hate the Cap--such a weird river... Can't wait to flyfish for those big dogs &, hopefully, some ho's.

should be in good shape by then idsay.....cant believe i have to work till monday.

well, I thought it would be good today but it rained a little over night. I will head out in the late afternoon to see how bad it is. I suspect the Cheak might be fishable by then. Friday and the weekend should be primo if it stays dry. At least it is only a 10 minute drive to the Cheakamus for me ;D ;D ;D
and.... I honestly feel with you guys having to drive HWY99 right now... take it easy, lots of accidents happen all the time... The road and construction crews just do their jobs, and do they them well. So, be considerate... the fish are going to be there.

Nice to meet you purplehelmet ;D
I though about the Cap as i was passing but i dont like that river when its is wet out
last time i slipped twice falling on my back on the rocks
good job i had a back pack on
but lost my spool drag nut and damaged my finger
not sure if it will be fishable for a while yet as the water was right up to the trees at the trail(purplehelmet told me) and real choc looking
ssab nik look forward to your report
good luck and take care out there

Thanks Brit,
Yeah, I just about broke my neck @ the Cap. I don't know if I'm getting uncoordinated of those rocks are weird shapes & slippery. I'm still kicking myself for horsing that Coho--rookie mistake :'(
