Title: Carp - Coquitlam river.
Post by: fishseeker on October 08, 2007, 08:56:23 PM
Earlier this year I took a walk along the coquitlam river near the confluence with the fraser and wondered if there might be Carp in it.  Has anybody tried that river for Carp?

I don't really plan to fish for them until summer next year but I was wondering because it is close to where I live and, being a slow muddy river, it looks like it might support them.

I live in coquitlam and I have never heard of carp in the river. The river is a very endangered river ( fifth most in north america  :o ) since those gravel mines moved in.  :'(  Pretty slim pickins, sad to see what poor choices can do to a river  :-\ :'(
