do you need special licenses/tags for the Thompson???

During regular opening period (June 1st - September 30th), no classified water stamp is needed.

It is needed from October 1st to December 31st WHEN a steelhead opening is announced (otherwise the river is closed). You would also need a steelhead stamp during this period. In-season opening for the Thompson River announcement can be found at:
