Hi everyone, i am going to whistler for some trout fishing, can somebody tell me what fly i should use for cutthroat ? I am planning to fishing in Alta lake in whistler.
-
for alta lake the best fly is murrays rolled muddler and second is a traditional rolled muddler, both in sizes 8-10. leeches also work and catch both cutts and rainbows but if you want the big boys stick with those two or a minnow (sticklback) pattern
-
what's the difference between the Murrays and the traditonal? Since Tom Murray created the Rolled muddler wouldn't that be traditional?
-
no the tradiional uses that turkey stuff and murrays has a wing of deer hair instead an crystal flash
-
Take some of these, they work very well for lake cutts...
