Title: Herring at Stanley Park
Post by: fishyfish on August 26, 2007, 10:20:01 PM
Went to Stanley Park tonight targeting smelts but much to my surprise was flooded with herring  instead. In over 10 years of fishing for smelts I have never caught so many herring at one time. Very encouraging to see such a large run of herring. Saw a few salmon jump. Would have expected more with all the herring around. Also could have been there but not surfacing.
