Title: fishing near ashcroft
Post by: fish_oholic on August 02, 2007, 02:12:42 PM
we are going to ashcroft/cache creek area during the long weekend. Any suggestion for places which may fish good this time of the year? I'm not into flyfishing, so places where trolling or casting spinners/spoons will work is what I'm interested about.

Thanks a lot for any help.

Barnes lake has a huge algae bloom on right now.  The water is now turned green with algae and visibility is around 6 inches. I tried dragging a fly behind the bellyboat and couldn't even get ten feet without the fly being covered. Most likely have to wait until september or so.
