that is absolutely horrific and extremely hard to watch

Saw this on another site and yes it was disturbing. I have already signed the petition.

I cant watch it...... >:( >:( >:(

It is gruesome, but is it any more gruesome than what we do to chickens, pigs, cows and other mammals we consume.
And fish, I might add.
Except we don't do it in public.
Or when hyenas rip a buffalo to pieces in 15 minutes.
In every culture there is something they eat that is unusual for others.
It doesn't mean I am going to tell the Japanese they should stop eating their food!
That's life!

exactly!
I hate it (my own personal feelings because I happen to like Dolphins)
But as said that's life - just because some of us "like" Dolphins and don't like Wasps, why is killing one more mortally justifiable than the other????
It's a good food source, and if Maccy D's showed the cows being slaughtered in their restaurants I'm sure they would get similar reactions.
Western culture is great at removing the "life" - from eating meat. If you don't want to kill anything eat veg, other wise shut up and accept the the fact that a lovely animal with nice eyes and a good coat (or long nose and smooth skin!) has been killed for your nutrition and enjoyment.
For this reason I have much more repesct for meat that has lived wild and been killed humanely. How can I be sure of this - do it myself! How many do-gooder "ban the killing" types can say the same?
Get real and face life head on, and then think hard, "lets not hurt the ...... because we like them" - just winds me up........
hmmmm, burger time,
With all respect, I can see both sides but I'm puttng MHO forwards.
cheers,
Paul

I agree it's hard to watch, it would be nice if they could find a more humane way of slaughtering these dolphins. There is not alot of difference between killing a dolphin or a cow or a deer or a fish but it is our responsibility to make sure that we do it as humanely as possible. We have a tendency in our North American culture to place a value on an animal by how high it rates on our warm and fuzzy scale. Lots of people who regularly bonk a fish will say how cruel it is to shoot a deer.........Life is life we all take it wether it is squishing a bug or buying your meat at save on.
