Try the sloughs in the Pitt Meadows area. The best one is Sturgeon Slough.

If you're driving towards east on Lougheed, just past the pitt river bridge, turn left on Dwedney Trunk and follow the signs to the Pitt Lake.

Sturgeon slough is on Neaves road between the road that goes to golden eagle golf course and the entrance to swan-e-set golf course.
