Title: Cat Lake July 8th, 2007
Post by: Piranha on July 09, 2007, 12:25:32 AM
Went to Cat lake past Squamish and had an okay day. Caught about 30 trout on gulp worm. The fish ranging from 6" to 8". Not much of a fight with these little guys and it takes them about a minute or two to recuperate.  I am guessing that the lake must of been stocked recently because they were jumping and swimming few feet away from me  ???

Also took my fly rod but was unable to fish from shore.

They threw 20000+ excess steelhead parr in there this year. Cat has some nice fish but they are really hard to catch. Most guys get 'em down deep as the lake gets over 120ft deep in parts. Due to all the swimmers and party people they are prolly a bit shy. Ive seen some nice rises on the righthand side near the floating logjam.
