Did anyone else know about this? I just got an e-mail about it and I cant make it because I have prior plans. Wish I would have known sooner. Was their a post about it on here?

Cleanups dates and info is updated and posted on the CVRCC web site at www.cleanrivers.ca.
Sorry you can not attend Brian but you have attended many in the past and we all realize volunteers can not make every cleanup. I hope you can make the BC Rivers Day event on the last Sunday in September the 30th, it should be bigger and better than ever, mark that date on all your calendars.

Our next cleanup is Sat. July 14, 07 at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve starting at 9:00 am.
BC Rivers Day cleanup is on Sun. Sept 30 07 starting at 9:00am at the Chilliwack Fish and Game Club
I just heard about it myself, I'll try to change my plans to make it - no promises though! Mark your calendars now for Sept!

Thanks James, I ordered lots of donuts yesterday, for everyone. ;D ;D
-
Did you order the ones with the cream filling? :)

Back to the top. The cleanup is tomorrow. Lew has reported a couple of areas that require many guys to haul stuff out.

Attendance was down this time as this cleanup usually sees a low number but still 73 took part and lots of garbage was taken off the river.Total weight will be posted later when the numbers are in.
Good to see our Environment Minister Barry Penner attend once again and was out doing his part as well as several members of this and other forums
Buckeye and others snapped some pictures so they should appear later.
Thanks to Don, Jack, Buck's wife and kids for taking in the refundables. We got $38.80 for the bottles, some were a bit smelly to say the least.
Thanks to all for giving freely of their time, we are making a diference and good to see Old Trout attend his first cleanup and we will make that bar fishing trip this Summer. ;D ;D
O, I found 2 cell phones today both returned to their owner's. One was left behind by a CVRCC director at the GBHNR building. Now he owes me a breakfast. ;D

;D ;D
Thanks for the mention Chris,
It was good to get up the river and do some good, I had a great time and have already booked the next one in the diary.
I will hold you to that bar trip, I am looking forward to it.
Cheers

Thanks to who came out, and hope to see even more in September!

Tonnage for the CVRCC cleanup now in, at the Game Club 1,520kg and Great Blue Heron bin was 520.
Let now get ready for the September 30 cleanup as we celebrate BC River's Day. Also Riverside Tackle is having a cleanup on the Coquitlam in August, I believe it is on August 18th but I am sure Aaron will verify that date.
