Title: Tofino Fishing June 26/27
Post by: blueback on June 28, 2007, 12:45:09 PM
The boys and I were out on the banks 1st day and limited on hali's and springs. One of the boats out there got a pink. Biggest hali-19lbs; biggest spring 18lbs. Next day we went inside and got a few more springs to fill out limits. Nothing huge yet but have seen a couple 24's one 28. Apparently the flattest days out on the pond yet this fishing season were the days we were out; amazing place.

Nice stuff.   Any idea if anyone was taking coho on the fly while fishing on the inside? It's probably a little too early.  I'm heading over there in late July.

We caught a few wild coho's offshore (released), but they haven't shown up inshore yet. According to our guide, they start coming inshore around the middle of July. He also said everything is getting later in the season; very much what we in the LM have been experiencing in the past few years. Yes we had a blast; taking fish using convergence rods off the rigger is fun, except the hali's make the arms kinda tired after while.
