Title: Question about the Cap.....
Post by: Sinaran on June 24, 2007, 11:30:01 PM
I am going to give the Cap another try this coming mon/tuesday, i fished the cable pool a few times and i have never got a single bite there.
now i wanna give another spot a try.. somewhere that's good for short floating.  Any suggestion, u guys?  i have been to the one right under highway bridge before. but i was on the west side of it and couldn't make any good drift from there at all. Question is , how do i get to the other side of it and where to park??  i saw lots of people fishing there last year, but i couldn't find the way to get down there.   thanks a lot for any input! :)

Park on Capilano Rd. under & around where Hwy1 crosses Capilano Rd. There is a stair step to go down to Doctor's Pool.

or park at the second parking from the hatchery lot and hike down and follow the signs to chinook loop and then down to the water.  Perfect short floating pool but not really the best coho water but it is great steely water for sure. if you fish the slack water a head by long-floating then you will be able to get the cap ho's
