Got to the lake and was fishing by 3:30. Within seconds of my line in the water I had a bite. 30 seconds later, Fish on! :o. The next ten minutes after that I landed three more ;D. I thought this was going to be the best fishing day ever... but it wasn't :(, after I caught my forth fish the fish seemed to be gone. The fish stopped biting for about 35 minutes but it then it picked up again. By this time it was 4:30 and for the next hour and half I would land four more with several lost. I left at 6.
While fishing I experienced something that I hadn't before on this lake. I kept getting these very tiny bites and I could never set the hook >:(, so I decided to give the fly some jerks and more movement and every time I did that the fish would take it.
Anyways, it was a fun day with lots of action.
Landed 8, Lost 4, with lots of bites. (all released)

great job, I'm heading down right now.

Did you fish from shore or from a boat/tube?
-
from my float tube

Thanks for the report mike!
Glad you had some success!

as i mentioned, i went today. fishing was slow, probably because of the recent rains. It picked up as the sun came out, then died down as it clouded over.

Way to go mike .I hope you keep havin' a blast. 8)

when you jig it like that it really pisses em off and makes more agressive, really helps with those pissy nibblers :) ;)

Just curious about the reg. on number of rods allowed when float-tubing. I have seen some tubers on Lafarge with 2 rods trolling at the same time. I know you may be allowed to troll 2 rods in a boat per person, is it ok for float tubing with 2 rods?

you are allowed 2 rods from a float tube also.
