SO I was just informed that my new Custom Rod should be done early next week just in time for Reds on the Vedder!! ;D ;D It is just me, or do other people get this pumped for new gear that they have been waiting a long time for? ;D He said that it was coming along great, and that the Weirdassed handle we came up with looked pretty funky, but in a good way. Well, either way, it should be a one of a kind! :o I can't wait to see it, then not to long before I hopefully get to put it to the test with a nice fresh Springer. ;D

Will u be posting picks of this one of a kind rod?

Now remember to put it in your truck before you go and talk to someone this time ;) . I am still surprised the other custom still has not been found or seen.

A fisherman can never have enough rods or reels.
-
That's true, but u need money for all that, something not alot of guys have to spend on fishing gear.

Picked up my New Custom rod today!! ;D Looks awesome, feels great, now all I have to do is catch a fish on it. ;D Can't wait to get it out for a try!! ;D

Sorry to break the bad news but this year there will be no angling for salmon with the use of custom built rods. Something about it being an unfair advantage to the bar fishermen.
Good luck with the new stick.

Well, I won't be challenging any Bar fishermen with this rod... ;D This is a Smaller river (Vedder, squamish, Chehalis) rod!! ;)

Hey Dave, nice toy you got ;)

Nice looking rod Dave :) What are the specs on it...blank, cork, seat grips, guides, thread who built it.
Cheers
Nuggy
Well... The blank is a Rainshadow ISA 1355F. The guides are Gold SIC with titanium seats. The hook holder is titanium, the thread is Gotebord thread. The guides are grey wrapped with gold highlights. The reel seat is a graphite trigger, the butt cap is a 2" titanium fighting butt. The handle is made of 3 different Burrel corks combined with top grade cork. But I can't remember what he called it. Russ from Stryker Rods built it for me. ;)
