I took the tube out to Lafarge lake at around 4 in the afternoon till 6. Within 10 minutes I had a bite, but couldn't set the hook in time. 10 minutes after that I had a fish on which I landed. It was 12 inches. My dad, who dropped me off, asked me to keep one for him, so I did. As I was gutting the fish on the lake I noticed it's throat, stomach, and intestines were filled the this bright neon green goo. There was no way I was keeping that, so I gave it to a guy on shore who was fishing. I fished for 1.5 hours more without even getting a bite until I switched to a sink line. Within minutes I had a fish on, but lost it. Then I had to leave because my ride was there. Not a very eventful fishing day, but it was nice to get out.

that green goo was most likely powerbait....
also.... i noticed you mentioned you gave it to a "chinese guy" just wondering if you were to give the fish to a canadian guy would you have stated that in your write up aswell....... ;)

i was just trying to give the most detailed report possible ;)

love the edit.... ;) ;) ;)

i saw that it might create offense to some.... ;)

Don't worry Michael. I'm Chinese, and wasn't offended. Ethnic minority is always more visible in a crowd so it only makes sense to use it as a characteristic to identify someone. We all unconsciously do it.

on another note i don't think you are allowed to give your catch to others even if they have a license
maybe someone can clarify this (Roney ???)

So reading that (thanks Rod) i would say that
a. you did not know the guy
b. you would not give all your details to a stranger
c. you both could have got into trouble
i just dont want anyone to get into trouble by reading your post and thinking they can just give away there catch

the "thanks Rod" was about something different. It was about him making me feel better about the unintentional, potencial offensive comment i made.

Michael you beeker! ;D ::) >:(
Just kiddin..Now you know . Dont repeat the same mistake ;)
