I'm new to the board and figure if I read the reports for tips I should give back ;)
Tried Sayers lake on Sat. can't get near it, there's a new gate up for active logging at the Stave mudder turn off.
Monday I put the pontoon in at Alouett to try some new tackle, landed a nice 8lb Bull just up the lake from the launch in 40 feet of water. I was down around 20 feet with a lake troll and worm. (great fight!)
Funny that he hit my snack, when I cleaned him he had a 1/2 digested trout that had to be 10"

That is a nice size Bull for that Lake.
There are also Lake trout in the Lake. Are you sure it wasn't a Laker?
Either way sounds like it put up a good scrap.

Last summer i brought up a nice 8 pounds laker in that lake wasnt expecting it lost er at the boat

I had a buddy hook into something on gear once near the pillings that pulled like crazy... Never saw what it was but I'm 100% sure it wasnt the usual 10 inch kokanne's i catch out of there

At first I thought it was a laker, when I stopped by my friends place to get a few pics he figured it to be a dolly! a little web searching shows it to be a Bull (never caught one before)
When buddy send me the pics I'll let you all decide. :-\
