Title: Fawn Lake. May 17th-19th

     I went up to Fawn Lake with my school's fly fishing club on Thursday. We got on the lake at around 3 pm, people were catching a fish every 5 minutes till about 4pm. I only caught one  :(, it was 14 inches. Came in for a bit since the fishing died down and then went back out later trolling a olive micro leech. After about 15 mins trolling I got a big hit, this fish was pulling out line like crazy. I ended up fighting it for about 10 minutues and then lost it several feet from my belly boat. It appeared to be at least 20 inches (no exageration). And that was it for Thursday.
       I fished all Friday with no success. Fishing was slow that day, not many people were catching fish. Today was a bit better (Saturday), more people were catching fish. I ended up with a 17 incher, ever so slightly coloured (since it was in its early stage of preperation to spawn). All in all it was a fun and enjoyable trip.

Reg got such a nice fish! 20+ inches, fat, and silver!

Hey Michael, I think I saw you catch that 17"er on Fawn Lake on Saturday; I was fishing with a couple of buddies in tubes; was that you in the tube fishing up by the 3 guys anchored in the big boat slaying fish after fish? I was in the blue u-boat. I talked to you a couple of times. The fishing was slow and cold (and windy) for most of the weekend...landed 5 or so, but nothing as big as yours. All were hooked dragging my 'special' fly; no luck with the chironomids. Post your pics...love to see them.
